During his postgraduate studies in art history at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in 1990, he was influenced by the early works of Jackson Pollock, which were the subject of his final thesis. Countess works were created; (…) which enabled him to gain admission to both the MA programme at the Slade School in London (UCL) and Chelsea College of Arts and Design in London.
